Kitchen Table is a series centered on poetry and storytelling, food and drink, and culture and politics. The core of the series are the questions: What feeds your body? What feeds your mind?  This Special Beast Crawl 2024 edition features: Tureeda Mikell, Leticia Hernández-Linares, and Zinia Gangopadhyay. Hosted by Dianne de Guzman, Abdul Kenyatta, and Kevin Dublin.


Zinia Gangopadhyay is an Oakland writer-educator whose time in the Bay, NOLA, LA, and Kolkata has led to many food stories. Food is life and the best way to create community. - zgangopadhyay AT gmail DOT com


Leticia Hernández-Linares is a poet, interdisciplinary artist, and educator.  Author of Mucha Muchacha, Too Much Girl, and co-editor of The Wandering Song, she has received four San Francisco Arts Commission Individual Artist grants, and published and performed widely. She teaches in the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University.     -      [email protected]

Abdul Kenyatta is an award-winning writer, novelist, storyteller, poet, teacher, griot, Grandfather x 10, and the founder of Speakeasy Storytellers in San Francisco.

Kevin Dublin is an educator, economic justice advocate, and writer of poetry, prose, scripts, and code. He’s founder of The Living Room SF & author of Eulogy (2023), How to Fall in Love in San Diego (2017), and is working on his next collection Origin Story as Alchemy.


Dianne de Guzman is an award-winning journalist and deputy editor for Eater SF covering the restaurant, bar, and pop-up scene in the East Bay and beyond.
