THe Thin Poetic Line THE THIN POETIC LINE: INTRO TO NARRATIVE POETRY AND FLASH FICTION Beast Crawl Literary Festival is offering a workshop at our space in San Francisco! It is designed to offer guidance in detailed form to define the distinction between Flash Fiction and Narrative Poetry. Why do writers mix up the two art forms? How often does this happen? Does blurring the line weaken or strengthen the work? These questions and more will be addressed over five subsequent Saturdays at 1446 Market in SF. Saturdays 10:30 - 1 PM April 22nd & 29th, May 13th, 20th, & 27th 1446 Market Street, Rhombus Room Facilitator: Paul Corman-Roberts Registration Cost: $300 Register here: tiny.cc/yem5vz This is a five week course that will detail the nuance between flash fiction and narrative poetry, while students generate portfolios or chapbooks of new writings. Classes will be held Saturday mornings from 10:30-1 PM, at Intersection for the Arts (1446 Market Street or 41 Fell Street.) Course facilitator Paul Corman-Roberts will lead writers through a number of challenging prompts and thought experiments that will manifest their rawest personal truths put into short stories or poems that will be emotionally compelling like nothing else. 80% of the proceeds of this workshop will go to fund the 2023 Beast Crawl Literary Festival.
